The Bart & Nadia Sports & Health Festival - FREE FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!
$1 parking available at the Cox Convention Center
- Health and Fitness related booths offering information on nutrition, health care, exercise, sports activities and more

FREE immunizations for kids
- The Oklahoma Caring Van (LOGO ATTACHED) Program will be providing FREE immunizations to kids age 18 and under. Children can stop by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma booth with a parent or guardian to receive immunizations. The Oklahoma Caring Van Program delivers immunizations to protect children and adolescents from dangerous illnesses at no cost to their families. The Oklahoma Caring Van Program is uniquely designed to eliminate barriers that commonly prevent children from receiving on-time, age-appropriate immunizations in traditional health care settings.

Perfect 10 Fitness Challenge
Kids who complete 10 various fun fitness activities will earn a Bart & Nadia Sports & Health Festival gold medal.

OKC Thunder Activities
Cox Convention Center
Activities:
The OKC Thunder will have a sport-court available for kids to shoot baskets, an inflatable pop-a-shot and a visit from the Thunder Girls.
Sooner Junior Activities
Cox Convention Center
Activities:
- Meet Boomer and Sooner
- OU Women’s Gymnastics Team signing autographs
- OU Pom & Spirit squads will be there
- Meet the Sooner Jr. F.A.N.S. team
- Have your photos taken with Boomer and Sooner and learn about Fitness Fun, Academics, Nutrition and Sportsmanship! Boomer and Sooner will be there
- Learn about the newest educational initiative, and participate in the My Plate Healthy Eating Challenge and see what it's like to be a Sooner Football Player for a day!
They will have the inflatable schooner and artificial turf along with helmets and jerseys for kids to try on.
Jump Rope Demonstration by World Champion Peter Nestler
Cox Convention Center
New to the 2012 Festival is Peter Nestler, World Champion Rope Jumper, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma. The dynamic jump rope presentation will take place at 3 p.m., so be sure to stick around. Nestler is a rope master and performs in more than 350 schools per year, where he encourages students to become a champion in life by working hard and studying. He has also performed in every state in the United States and across the world in countries such as Australia, British Virgin Islands, Cambodia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Kenya, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, South Korea, Sweden, Thailand and Vietnam. Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy Basic Gymnastics Activities for Children
» Children will be taught various gymnastics skills including tumbling, vaulting, balance beam and parallel bars. Equipment will be set up at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma during the Bart & Nadia Sports & Health Festival.
OKC RIVERSPORT Activities
» OKC RIVERSPORT Indoor Kayak & Rowing Challenge Experience the excitement of rowing and kayaking on the Oklahoma River! See the top kayakers in the nation competing during the OKC RIVERSPORT Indoor Kayak Championships at the Cox Convention Center. And watch OKC RIVERSPORT Juniors, Masters and Corporate Rowing League teams race in the winter Indoor Rowing Championship. Try it yourself when you hop on an indoor rowing or kayak machine.
» OKC RIVERSPORT RUNderground presented by OK Runner Join us for a fun-run in the Oklahoma City Underground. The race starts at noon in the Cox Convention Center on the first floor (street level). Participants run two laps of the course through The Underground, which equals 3.1 miles, or 5K. Note: The 2012 RUNderground is sold out! Thanks fo everyone who registered for this indoor event!
University Of Central Oklahoma Wellness Activities
» 2012 London Paralympic Games Powerlifting Qualifier Athletes will bench press three lifts and attempt to lift their personal best and most importantly break American records. With these scores athletes hope to rank in the top 20 in the World. Powerlifting begins at 10 a.m. » USA Archery Oklahoma Indoor State Championship Archers will be shooting a two day indoor STAR FITA at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City. Participants will be competing for the title of State Champion and awards will be given. The Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) division will also be shooting on Saturday. Registration is required to compete in the event and is open to archers of all ages. Archery Begins at 1 p.m. » Team USA Sitting Volleyball Scrimmage and Activities UCO will be offering three opportunities to the public to get a hands-on opportunity to experience the sports of archery, powerlifting and sitting volleyball. Test your skills shooting an archery bow and see if you can hit the target. Then, take a seat on the floor to participate in the fast-paced Paralympic sport of sitting volleyball. Paralympic athletes and coaches in both sports will be conducting the activities, including Team USA’s Women’s Sitting Volleyball silver medalists from the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. USA Sitting Volleyball team will be signing autographs at 2 p.m.

Bart Conner International Invitational
- more than 300 boys level 4 and up compete in the 28th edition of this meet over two days. |
